We think it’s safe to say we’re not the only brand, or person, to have reevaluated their priorities during 2020. And so, as part of our change in direction, we’ve decided not to take part in Black Friday this year. Instead, we’re donating 10% of our sales to Fashion Revolution.
Fashion Revolution was founded in 2013 by Orsola de Castro and Carry Somers, following the tragic Rana Plaza collapse in Bangladesh. Their mission, much like our own, is to support a more ethical, sustainable and transparent fashion industry.
Why Fashion Revolution? This year has highlighted how connected our world really is and that we need to be the ones to live the change. From a global pandemic to numerous other natural disasters, we’ve all felt a stronger connection to each other this year; not as separate entities but as one global community. It’s taken a lot to bring us together, but together is the only way we can make a difference. We’re working with Fashion Revolution to prompt us all to ask ourselves the question #WhoMadeMyClothes?
We spoke to Orsola, Founder and Creative Director of Fashion Revolution, to find out more about the initiative, and why it's so important. Read the interview here.
