In the spotlight: Meghan

Each season our Founder, Georgia, curates the most eye catching and inspiring colour combinations. We discuss how she chooses her colours, and the inspiration behind the new Meghan collection.

So, tell us about Meghan.

Meghan is a special one for us. She features our signature Dora Larsen shapes, the longest standing styles that we have run for a few seasons now. The Half-Pad Balconette has been with us since the beginning, and continues to be a firm favourite.

Do you have a favourite piece and why?

I wear all three bras for different reasons as they do different jobs for me. The Half-Pad Balconette for when I want to feel secure and “in place”, the Underwire bra when I’m after a more natural look, and the Padded Triangle on those wire free days, when I want to feel like I’m not wearing a bra, but I still want my boobs to feel supported under a top. As for knickers, I wear the high waist when I want to feel extra special, and the seamless low-rise knickers in the day with jeans or trousers.

What was your inspiration for this colourway?

Meghan is made up of three colours: oxblood, mustard and dusty rose. The colour selection process itself is very organic and I don’t rely too heavily on direct inspiration from any one thing. I am so drawn to colours found in nature and interiors, and subconsciously, fashion always plays a key role in how I combine each of the colours together.

How do you curate such a unique pallet together?

Although we don’t replicate colourways for new collections, the family of pinky tones found in Meghan have previously been so popular and I was keen to try and work with these again as we have so many people request colours from past seasons. One of my favourite ways to combine colours is to pick two different shades that belong in the same group, for example pink. Then I play with colours from the opposite end of the colour wheel, in this case, something like mustard. This helps the other colours to really pop and create something unique.
