We chatted to @klaudiacloud on what the ‘new normal’ has become for her...
So, as things slowly start to return to our ‘new normal’, what does this look like for you? Will life feel different to how it used to be?
“I do think that life will feel different but not necessarily for worse. I have learned to really take care of myself for the first time in forever. I am a self-confessed workaholic and I can spend a full day at my desk without realising the time passing. I have adapted a new routine of taking care of myself in the mornings, going for a walk, trying some new makeup, breathing…. It allows me to get my head straight and in a way makes me feel more productive.”
Has your relationship to fashion and beauty changed since lockdown? If so, how?
“I have cleared out my wardrobe and decided to come up with some sort of capsule wardrobe that doesn’t take me hours to get ready in the morning. I try to dress up once or twice in a week to feel myself. The same comes for beauty, I am massive on skincare so I haven’t really changed anything there but when it comes to makeup my go-to look is very natural nearly there kind of makeup. I do occasionally experiment with colour and come up with looks that are quite of character but makes me feel good!”
What do you think the future of fashion and beauty is? Will we relate to both in the same way in 2021?
“I think we are becoming more conscious of what we are buying when it comes to clothes, jewellery and beauty. I can see a shift in my friendship groups from staying away from fast-fashion brands and investing in better quality pieces that are sustainable and last longer!”
As women, do you think the relationship we have with ourselves is changing? If so, how?
“Personally? I think yes. I think we are becoming less judgmental on ourselves and celebrating our bodies, appearance and are not afraid to be confident in ourself."
