Astrology with Caggie Dunlop

This week in The Soul Sessions, we sit down with Saturn Returns podcast host, Caggie Dunlop. We talk about her journey, and how astrology has helped her.

How did you first discover and become interested in the world of astrology?

“I first got into astrology whilst living in LA, as I was about to go into my own Saturn Return. I also connected with a girl online called Noura, who would always share astrological insights, and do my chart. We became friends, and she now is the resident astrologer for Saturn Returns. I learnt a lot from her.”

In what way has astrology changed your life and how do you interpret reality?

“In so many ways. It has given me a map and understanding of myself and the cosmos around me. I like things that are poetic, and I find astrology deeply poetic. This ancient interpretation of the stars and planets and their significance on us. I think it's such a transformational tool to deepen your relationship to self, to trust in the unfolding of things and the timing of your life.”

What does it mean when our 'Saturn returns’? What was your Saturn return like, for you?

“It happens around 29 years old, as it takes Saturn this long to circle back into the same place in the sky it occupied when you were born, bringing with it an initiation into adulthood. It's viewed as a punitive planet but I actually think it's the source of our spiritual awakening, it often brings a reckoning in order for us to experience this. My Saturn return was rough. It does bring everything to the surface, and forces you to take stock of your life so far, which can be quite a harsh reality check for many.”

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve learnt doing your Podcast? Is there anyone you’ve interviewed that has been particularly impactful for you?

“I wouldn't know where to begin! I have learnt so much. So much about other people, and myself. I think interviewing Mark Groves was a particular highlight for me, as he is such an inspiration to me and a teacher. So getting to have these conversations with people who inspire me most is so wonderful.”

How can we accept and work through the challenges and opportunities that come with change, in particular as we move into the Age of Aquarius?

“I think the best thing to do is to surrender to it. We can see the shift happening already, and it will happen whether we go willingly or otherwise. But essentially, the volatility and change that is coming is to create space for the new archetypes, and a new age. It will just require a lot of change, personally and collectively.”
