Georgia talks AW24

We talk to our founder, Georgia, on her inspiration for the new season, and how she translates societal trends into Dora Larsen's iconic colour combinations.

"Before creating the colours for each season, I tap into the mood of what’s going on in the world, and for me, personally. Colour is a visual representation of emotion, and I’m someone who’s always been interested in societal trends and movements. When I’m designing, I aim to translate this into the colours of each collection."

"This season I was drawn to the feeling of maturity and sophistication in some of the colours I wanted to use. Think berries and moody reds, paired back with deeper tones of teal, chocolate and maroon. I was also inspired by playful and fun shades that I felt represented a positive transition towards something bright and new. I felt an attraction to nature-inspired shades of fuchsia, bright pink, sky blue and grassy green."

"This drop also saw us launch some brand new shapes. I’m excited about our new scoop-neck underwire as I feel it serves a sort of sexy-meets-sporty look we were lacking in previous collections. I’m really feeling for curved, shapely necklines at the moment. They feel seductive, without being overt.

I’m also thrilled to launch a new bodysuit shape in our iconic clean tulle range. Wireless, moulded cups and a thong back make her the perfect base layer underneath any outfit."

"When it comes to fits, we updated some of our knicker shapes to make them a bit higher and sexier on the leg. Nothing too extreme, but we think you’ll find them more flattering. We also took on your feedback on some of our bra fits being a bit tight and added into the length of these to make them feel more comfortable."

"I hope the new collection brings you joy. It’s been a labour of love, my love, to you all. Thank you for following our little brand and being a part of it’s progression in this world.

Love, Georgia x"
